RUDRAKSHA
Rudraksha is bead obtained from the species of elaeocarpus (Elaeocarpus gannitrus and elaeocarpus sphaericus). Rudraksha (rudraksh) is originated from Lord shiva eyes,teardrops from the eyes of lord shiva fallen on the earth and that drops turned into rudraksha trees and thus rudraksha's are formed,
as per ancient mythology rudraksha's have originated from God shiva eyes.
Different varieties of rudraksha's:
1.Rudraksha
2.Bhadraksha
3.Indraksha and
4.Somaksha (Sahastraksha)
Rudraksha's are available in different types based on their grooves/margins on bead (mukhas or face)
1-33 mukhi's of rudraksha's are available as per ancient puranas and samhitas, but most commonly 3-21 mukhi rudraksha's available into common use and that too as the mukhi increases price of rudraksha's increase because higher mukhi have very good astrological benefits and electromagnetic power.
As per the PURANAS from LORD SHIVA left eye (chandra netram) 16 different types of rudraksha's have originated,from Right eye (Surya netram) 12 different types of rudraksha's have originated and from 3rd eye of LORD SHIVA (Kalagni netram) 10 different types of rudraksha's have originated.
ECOLOGICAL DISTRIBUTION:
Rudaksha's are most commonly distributed in NEPAL,INDIA,INDONESIA,AUSTRALIA AND USA.
Nepal rudraksha are the first quality rudraksha's in terms of properties and quality
second is Indian rudraksha's and Indonesian and so on.
uses :
Rudraksha's are worn in mala for physical and mental well being.
Rudraksha's can cure many diseases and disorders.
Alkaloids from rudraksha have many pharmacological benefits.
Rudraksha's are useful in reducing blood pressure and diabetes.
Rudraksha's are used in treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis, rudraksha leaves decoction can cure viral fever, rudraksha leaves are used in treatment of obesity.
Rudraksha oil can cure all skin related diseases and neurological disorders (epilepsy)
